The name of the Apelles Restaurant derives from the renowned painter Apelles, who served as a court painter in the royal court of Philip II and Alexander the Great. According to Pliny the Elder, Alexander the Great appreciated Apelles’ artistic ability and admired his talent, appointing him as his exclusive portrait painter. Visitors will find history and gastronomy in a luxurious setting where they can enjoy a feast of culinary combinations, fresh vegetables, Greek aromatic herbs & spices, extra virgin olive oil, Mediterranean dishes, and seafood.
