In a world that is constantly moving and changing, the concept of "metamorphosis" embodies the differentiations, transitions and challenges that affect today's world. In life we have different experiences of metamorphosis - collective, individual, deeply personal. Transformation can arise either in a sudden nature or through a gradual transformation. Whether it is a moment in time or a larger period of time, we have all gone through or may go through our own transformation. Transformation fills us with hope. It is the shining light at the end of the dark tunnel, the promise that the conditions around us will get better. It inspires new motivations for discovery and knowledge. It offers infinite possibilities and new perspectives. In two years of unprecedented change, the concept of "transformation" embodies the diversifications, transitions and challenges affecting today's technology, education, human relations, art, and entertainment for the individual and society.

TEDxPatras, in collaboration with the University of Patras, returns for the 6th year, on Saturday 8 October at the Conference and Cultural Centre of the University of Patras and invites us to take part in a magical journey of exploration and discovery of new aspects of "transformation" in our everyday life. There are ideas worth spreading! The seasons and months are certainly changing. And so do we. I wonder, does a TEDx event change us?
