Zappeion Megaron ATHENS INFO The Zappeion Hall is a building associated with some of the most important moments in the country's modern history.The very decision to build it is related to a historic moment not only for Greece but for world sport, the revival of the Olympic Games. The cost of the construction was undertaken by the benefactor Evangelos Zappas, based on a design by the architect Theophilos Hansen.
