Oxbelly has announced the participants of the Oxbelly Retreat 2024, which took place from 22 to 30 June in Costa Navarino. The Oxbelly Retreat is an annual, international gathering of creatives dedicated to sharing ideas, deepening technical training, and broadening artistic horizons through cross-cultural dialogue.

The 2024 edition included specialised programmes for writers in film, television and literature, open to participants from all over the world. Oxbelly continues to set itself apart from conventional models of arts programs by opening and encouraging dialogue and interaction between participants, advisors and special guests of the three programs, thus deepening the intersection between the film, literature and television industries.

The Screenwriters programme, led by Nicole Perlman (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY), hosted 10 screenwriters who are in the process of developing their second feature film. The Episodic Writers program, led by Jen Blake (JOYLAND) and Jörg Winger (DEUTSCHLAND 83) brought together 10 promising writers working on their first original fiction series. The Fiction Writers program, directed by Chigozie Obioma ((AN ORCHESTRA OF MINORITIES), hosted ten emerging writers seeking to upgrade their technique, and strengthen their literary voice.
