The Contemporary Art Gallery Braggart Gallery welcomes winter with the presentation of the second solo exhibition of the artist Eleni Gatsiou, with the interaction of the artist Haris Kontosfyris, November 19 – 27, 2022, at the Joist Innovation park in Larissa. The opening will take place on Saturday, November 19 at 18: 00. An artistic audiovisual installation that negotiates the flight of color in space.

It travels from space to space and from place to place. A move of no return. It produces many sounds and forms. Tracks and traces indelible. His escape reminds him of a self-imposed hide-and-seek and every time he seems to be unique, different. By changing space you transform, you transform, it changes properties. He decides to play the Being and you seem it. It is color, self-existent color, but it wants people to listen to it. See what it shows. Tracks, tracks and sounds. It’s self-existent. Interacts with spaces beings light nature. He invites us to follow the paths and traces he has made with the aim not to return but to declare his presence.

Ludwig Wittgenstein in his book Philosophical Investigations states “What is your purpose in philosophy? to show the fly the way out of its trap” (paragraph 309 PP 136-1977) this expression could become a simile on the research carried out by Eleni Gatsiou on the flight of colors. If we consider colors as flies and space and objects in which they are found as traps, then we will come to the following conclusion. The colors feel trapped and have the need to free themselves, to go out into space to travel and leave their traces everywhere. This is how it behaves, and color seeks its own way out to act emerging. His escapade in space looks like wander but it’s not. It’s travel, movement, flow.

The fly as a color emerging escapes from its trap by following the sounds and paths of colors. It comes to life and you regenerate through color, tracing with it. The viewer, moving in space, feels that something is following him, listens to sounds and forms and feels immersed in the paths and traces of color.
