Association for the Promotion of Cultural Heritage of Krini and the Dance Orchestra of the Municipality of Patras

Traditional professions that have been lost, especially in the region, will be presented, enriched with traditional games that are not played today. All will be accompanied by music and dance from the respective regions. The intensive adult, teenage and intensive children’s dance classes and the dance section of the Krini Cultural Association will participate.

Theatrical Group “ektos shediou” – «LEBENSRAUM»

The work takes as its starting point the Nazi expansionist theory of “Lebensraum”, according to which a people is entitled to expand into foreign, nearby or distant territories when it considers them necessary for its demographic, racial, defensive, economic needs. The spectators, or rather the audience, as stated in the performance itself, are invited to participate in an “experiment” on the stage.

I wonder if they will succeed?

The women of Athens, twelve years after the end of the Peloponnesian War, see that things were not going well in the governance of the country. Praxagora, an Athenian and wife of Vlepyros, arranges for them to appear in the Assembly (the Church of the City) dressed as men and by majority vote they pass a law and take over the state, hoping Athens will see happy days again.

Two are the honest ones in the play. One is a brave and clumsy officer, who runs a large organization, and the other is an honest but cowardl ordinar man- Timoleon – who needs, the poor man, to make a good job of it in order to gain courage and to denounce the thefts, so that he is constantly blocked and finds himself unemployed on the street.
