International Cultural Center "Petra Terzi-Petrosophy" – Agioi Theodoroi, Corinthia

Schedule of events (December 2025-January 2026)

The general objectives of the International Cultural Center "Petra Terzi-Petrosophy" can be summarized as follows:

• • Inviting children and families through the arts and experiential participation
• • Creating a monthly cultural routine for the local community
• • Activation of schools, organizations, and associations
• • Promotion of the Center as a hub of cultural and social life
• Strengthening the tourist character of Agioi Theodoroi

The events that will be hosted in the coming months aim to be accessible and appealing to everyone, with an emphasis on children and families, to connect with World Days that inspire participation and education, keep the activities low-cost or free, and open up collaboration with municipalities, schools, associations, organizations, and artists.

Corinthian Cinema Club-3C – Film screening- “MAUTHAUSEN”

Directed by Aristarchos Papadaniel, Panagiotis Kountouras, Greece, 2023, 91 min.

• Award-winning poetic documentary film based on the work "Mauthausen" with music by Mikis Theodorakis, in a new interpretation by Aristarchos Papadaniel (voice) and Aris Zervas (cello). The film also makes use of the original manuscript and unpublished text "Journey to Mauthausen – May 1988" by Iakovos Kampanellis, a survivor of the concentration camp and founder of modern Greek post-war theater. Aristarchos Papadaniel will attend the screening and share his experience with Mikis Theodorakis, as well as his meeting with the last survivor of the camp.

Corinthian Cinema Club-3C – Film Screening “The Christmas Tango”, 102’

• Directed by Nikos Koutelidakis, Greece, 2011, 102 min. - The screenplay was based on the book of the same title by Yannis Xanthouli. Awards in detail:

The film focuses on a lieutenant (Yannis Stankoglou) who asks for the help of a shy soldier (Antinoos Albanis) to learn tango and dance with the wife (Vicky Papadopoulou) of the colonel (Yannis Bezos) at a military camp in Evros in 1970.

Corinthian Cinema Club-3C – Screening of the film “Tender,” by Panagiotis Karamitsos, 102 min.

Synopsis: The story of two women who initially seem to have nothing in common: the young and restless Claire and the older, disheartened but cunning Danae. They live in neighbouring apartments. Through a series of unpleasant and painful events, they get to know each other and become closer. They are not so different after all: two people in a busy city, disappointed and obsessed. As the film progresses, events take their toll on the women's mental resources and they turn to each other for help. But although initially each wants to use the other to alleviate their anxiety, in the end, following a dark and dramatic escalation, the masks will fall and their souls will meet.

• • String Art Exhibition featuring 30 works by artist Giorgos Tryfonas - Unique collectible works by the 80-year-old artist, ideal for decorating an art-loving space.

• Exhibition "Art and Technology with a Holistic Approach" - With works by: Eva Terzi, Eleni Kechagioglou, Anna Van Brussel, Marina Papanagotaki.

The exhibition explores the contemporary relationship between humans and technology through an artistic and philosophical lens.

The artists have offered their works for sale, with the proceeds going to support The Smile of the Child and the Animal Shelter.

Presentation of Margarita Theodoraki's book "Memories of a Girl." Read by actor Panagiotis Petrakis. The presentation of the book by Mikis Theodorakis' daughter, Margarita, "Memories of a Girl," vividly recounts the anxieties, suffering, and concerns of the life of the leading universal artist, this hugely influential champion of ideas and consistent fighter for democracy.

The choir of the Women's Association of Agioi Theodoroi participates under the direction of Makis Psaradellis. Ms. Nelli Hanikian accompanies on the piano.Presentation of Margarita Theodoraki's book "The Memories of a Girl."

• • Synopsis: A small town is financially controlled by a corrupt bank and television channel owner, who has accumulated all its cash and impoverished its residents. One day, after scheming with his "gang," the "boss" fires Achilles, a hard-working employee at his bank. From one day to the next, Achilles finds himself on the street and faced with harsh reality. At some point, he meets a strange man who suggests that he change the world in a very unusual way. Achilles accepts, and a strange journey begins!
